Holiday Traditions Around The World!

On Friday, we talked about Hollands Holiday Traditions. Children in Holland, make a wooden shoe, stuffed with carrots and wheat to leave for St. Nicholas and his white horse. In return, goodies are left for the children.

In 1-C, we were able to do the same!! I hope St. Nicholas in Holland is able to visit our classroom and leave some treats for us also :)

In reading, 1-C has been studying different characters in books. We have been focusing on getting to know our characters by observing both physical and personality traits. To help us, we drew a picture of ourselves and added our very own personality and physical traits.
